FAQs

What will happen during my appointment?

Upon arrival, you will fill out our consent and questionnaire forms. Once these are complete we will have you remove any metal objects including necklaces, earrings, hair pins, clips, facial piercings, and dentures. We will then take the scan, which takes 14 seconds. Your 3D scan will render in 2 minutes.  You can either stay to view your x-ray or leave.

How long will the appointment take?

The appointment will take at most 15 minutes. If you choose to stay and look at your scan (which we encourage) it may take a little longer.

What should I eat or do prior to the appointment?

There is no preparation necessary before the CBCT scan.  It is fast and easy!

How much radiation is used?

We know radiation is a concern for many people.  For that reason, we are thrilled to be the only imaging center to offer you this advanced technology, which emits the lowest radiation on the market.  Radiation is dependent upon the size of the patient and the dose value we use is between 21mAs and 42mAs. The radiation level is equivalent to a one-way flight from San Francisco to New York.

What is the cost?

The cost varies with the service rendered and whether a radiologist review is requested. Please call us for an immediate quote. We are open Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, after hours and weekend appointments upon request.  We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, cash, and checks.
